The team at Plan-b has a wide range of experience in diverse roles. This allows us to understand a broad range of business requirements from technical and commercial angles.

Ian Forrester, CFA - Managing Director

Ian is an experienced corporate financier and strategist who has led Plan-b through a period of geographic expansion and service development. Before joining Plan-b he was an investment banker working internationally for companies including First NZ Capital (formerly Credit Suisse in New Zealand), SG Hambros and KPMG Corporate Finance. Ian has an honours degree in business and finance and completed the Capital Markets Qualification from the London Securities Institute. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society of New Zealand and the CFA Institute.

John Watson – GM, Sales & Marketing

John manages the sales, account management, partner and marketing functions at Plan-b. He has spent many years in senior management roles in the IT services sector including experience in telecommunications, ISP, networking and infrastructure. He focuses on the customer experience and acts as the customer advocate within the business. His previous roles included managing the CallPlus/Slingshot group and leading the sales team at Maclean Computing as it transitioned into a managed service provider.

Greg Flanagan – Chief Technology Officer

Greg leads the technical and operations functions at Plan-b and is focused on delivering high-quality, process-driven services to our wide range of customers. Having held services management roles in national and multinational companies such as Motorola, GE, Vodafone, Axon and Air New Zealand, he has strong capabilities in running service-based technology organisations and a passion for excellence in customer delivery.

Sarah Buckley – Finance Manager

Sarah manages the financial, administrative and human resource requirements of Plan-b including all aspects of Plan-b’s accounts, budget processes, cash flow, tax and compliance responsibilities. Previously she worked as Financial Controller for an environmental consultancy company in the United Kingdom. She has been working in finance roles in New Zealand and overseas for over 10 years.
